CORPORATE SOCIAL INVESTMENT DISBURSEMENTS

How we plough millions back into the community

There is an old saying that ‘it is the thought that counts.’ In the end the most important thing will not be how much our company has invested back into society, but the selfless and willing spirit of giving that will echo above all else.

Since 2010, SEC has pumped over E20 million back to its society. A significant portion of our Corporate Social Investment budget has benefited thousands of new SEC customers, who have all received between 11 and 44 percent discounts when connecting electricity to their homes and/or buildings.

Our company prides itself on having contributed about E18 million in the 2010/11 financial year in subsidizing new connections.

The rest of the money has been directed to responding to specific requests that are in line with our CSI Policy.

These are requests that should be willing to develop the following four key sectors over the years.
